My Journey
Let me tell you a little more about myself. I was born in India and grew up in an environment where my parents were deeply involved in social causes. Their dedication to making a positive impact on the world inspired me to engage in charitable and mental health endeavors. It was during my formative years that I observed the profound effect mental health had on individuals and communities, prompting me to choose psychology as my major in high school.
Since then, my educational journey has been a transformative one. I pursued a bachelor’s degree in psychology and furthered my studies with an M.Sc. in clinical psychology. Throughout this time, I had the opportunity to work with diverse populations and in various settings. From rehabilitation centers to private offices, from small hospitals in small towns to top specialized hospitals, and from schools to special education programs, each experience enriched my understanding of others and myself.
These experiences taught me the importance of embracing knowledge while remaining open to learning from others. They reinforced the value of empathy and compassion in providing effective mental health care. I believe in meeting clients where they are, acknowledging their unique experiences and perspectives, and creating a safe space for them to explore their thoughts and emotions.
In our therapeutic relationship, I will actively listen to you and collaborate with you to develop strategies for personal growth and well-being. My therapeutic style is person-centered and eclectic, drawing from modalities such as psychodynamic, CBT, DBT, NLP, and existential approaches. I also incorporate non-traditional methods like yoga and expressive art therapy to enhance self-awareness and relaxation.
Diversity and inclusivity are paramount to me. I wholeheartedly welcome individuals from all communities, including LGBTQ+. Creating a respectful and understanding environment where everyone feels empowered and supported is my commitment to you.
Outside of my practice, I find joy in traveling, dancing, practicing yoga, and seeking thrilling experiences. These passions remind me of the importance of balance and self-care, which I encourage my clients to explore in their own lives.
